I find these little pieces fast to do but this one gave me the most headaches, what with the separating strands of wool that didn't WANT to separate and the multiple rip-outs. That stitch in the cuff gave me headaches too --- for some reason I couldn't wrap my head around "Nobuko"!...
Another of the Janet Perry 2011 Bargello Club pieces, this one for June. She said shop stash so I did: the overdyed is a Weeks Dye Works "special" called"Old Glory" "#4133) and it caused the biggest headaches because there wasn't enough of it to "double" so after ripping it all out once, I had to go with single strands and coverage isn't so hot. The blues are an unknown three-strand tapestry wool (left overs from a kit I had done YEARS ago) separated into single strands and then doubled, Anchor floss # 1034 (doubled), and Caron Watercolors #44 "Ice". The "pink" cuff is another tapestry wool, DMC 7207, four stranded separated into two strands (and that wasn't easy! LOL). Your colors all came together really well!

Some progress on "Frog Pile" --- it's slow, very slow. And I don't like stitching during tornado watches... rifestitch wrote on May 27, '11 LOVE this!! Can't wait to see more of this :)
Two completions this week --- one early yesterday and one in the wee small hours of this morning. FIrst, "Cat Pack" by Marilyn Robertson, kit from Design Works. Got the colors mixed up in the two large cats (the major color in the one on the left should be darker, the the major color in the one on the right should be lighter) but I think it worked anyway. Only ran out of one thread but that was black so no worries! The second was installment two in Janet Perry's 2011 Bargello CLub. She called it "Blue Mitten" but since I was shopping my stash and I have six bins of needlepoint wools left over from years ago (!!!), I went with green instead... So, off to quilt guild work day today --- dug out my finished tops (turned out I had six, not 2 --- my memory is that bad), the quilt top I was working on when we were moved home, and the fabric I would LIKE to use to make some lap quilts with for the bedroom. Thought I'd get some assistance, if possible. And in case that is a flop, I tucked in the last five of my 2010 BJP pieces to finish the seams on... Not going to lug my sewing machine in this weather (hot and muggy) so hand sewing will be the order of the day if I do any sewing at all.
